As CTO at QuesTek Innovations LLC, Jiadong Gong, Ph.D., provides leadership to QuesTek’s engineering team and acts as principal investigator in key programs with the Department of Defense (e.g. DARPA, Air Force, Navy, etc.), the Department of Energy, NASA and commercial clients. He serves as the principal expert and thought leader on QuesTek’s methodology and technology, especially on the ICME and Materials Design, which are the core to design and development of novel materials and processes.
Jiadong is a member of the founding team of reorganized QuesTek II focused on technology development in design and development of novel materials using materials genomic big data and advanced computational tools/software. He also manages an interdisciplinary group of engineers in the modeling and software development team to ensure successful engineering solutions and the integration of technologies such as Machine Learning/AI into the online and offline platform of our systems design practice. He also directs technical activities ranging from advanced materials for the area of aerospace, to automotive, energy and electronics applications and additive manufacturing (3D Printing).

Honors, Awards, and Patents
Jiadong is the inventor or co-inventor of several patents in the fields of corrosion resistant high strength steel, Ni-base superalloy, additive manufacturing technology and others. His honors and awards during his academic years include receiving the Integrated Excellence Scholarship at Tsinghua University and the Graduate Student Leader of the Year award at Northwestern University Graduate School for 2010-2011.
