Manufacturing Today has selected QuesTek Innovations’ ICMD® Materials Design and Engineering Platform as the “Most Innovative Additive Manufacturing Solution” in its 2025 Manufacturing Supplier Innovation Awards. The recognition highlights the impact of QuesTek’s ICMD® platform and its rapidly advancing additive manufacturing (AM) modeling capabilities.

“These companies aren’t just responding to the pace of change in modern manufacturing,” editor Libbie Hammonds noted in her introduction to the awards, “they’re defining it.”

That spirit is evident in QuesTek’s work in additive manufacturing. Over the past year, the company has expanded ICMD® capabilities, allowing subscribers to create new alloys that are easier to print and less prone to cracking or defects. These capabilities help manufacturers get reliable, ready-to-use parts faster.

“Additive manufacturing is reshaping how critical industries design and deliver parts, but uncertainty has slowed adoption,” said Bill Mahoney, COO of QuesTek Innovations. “ICMD® lets engineers simulate outcomes before printing, cutting trial-and-error and helping companies bring safer, more reliable products to market faster.”

The award follows QuesTek’s selection to Fast Company’s 2025 Most Innovative Companies list and builds on industry recognition from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory AM Modeling Challenge and the NIST AM Bench Challenge. Together, these honors underscore the growing influence of QuesTek’s Materials by Design® approach and the role ICMD® is playing in advancing the future of additive manufacturing.
