As Director of Digital Products at QuesTek Innovations LLC, Changning Niu, Ph.D., leads the development and strategic growth of QuesTek’s proprietary ICMD® platform, advancing the company’s digital transformation of its materials-by-design® capabilities to enable innovative SaaS offerings. With a strong background in scientific computing and multi-scale materials simulation, Changning drives the integration of advanced digital tools with materials science, enhancing QuesTek’s software solutions for both commercial and government clients.

Since joining QuesTek, Changning has spearheaded the initial prototype of ICMD®, a powerful web-based materials simulation platform, and has led teams of materials design engineers, software engineers, and cloud engineers in delivering a high-performance, scalable cloud solution. The modern architecture of ICMD® provides clients with unique materials-by-design® technology while ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and ISO standards.

Changning holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University, where he specialized in computational methods for materials simulation, and a B.Sc. in Materials Physics with a minor in Information and Computation Science from the University of Science and Technology Beijing. Throughout his career, he has consistently focused on merging materials science with advanced computational techniques to create robust, scalable digital solutions for pioneering materials design and discovery.
