Evanston, IL and Cambridge, MA, February 3, 2025 –
QuesTek Innovations, the primary operating arm of QuesTek International LLC, today announced key strategic results for the year 2024. Among these results were: subscriptions for QuesTek’s ICMD® Materials Design and Engineering SaaS platform; completion and new signings of corporate and federal Materials by Design® services engagements; and continued operating profitability. By year end 2024, QuesTek achieved important fulfillment outcomes in its multi-year transition to a Digital Materials Technology enterprise and significantly enhanced its position as a privately held, cash-generating, profitable, debt-free, and strategically advancing technology business.
Corporate clients served in 2024 included Boeing, CBMM, Cummins, John Deere, Lockheed Martin, and Honeywell Aerospace. ICMD® subscriptions were secured with Daido Steel and Aubert & Duval: SpaceX, and Caterpillar; MIT, UC Irvine, U Prince Edward Island, and Paderborn University. Just as QuesTek uses ICMD® internally to deliver services engagements, QuesTek’s affiliate, QuesTek Japan, also used ICMD® internally to deliver services engagements with Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, and Honda Racing.
Federal clients served in 2024 included the Army, Navy, Air Force, OSD, DoE, and ARPA-E. For the Army, QuesTek continued to demonstrate its capability to build and manage custom supply chains to deliver operational prototypes with mission superiority based upon applications of QuesTek proprietary materials. For OSD, under subcontracts through ATI and LIFT, QuesTek delivered critical predictive and prescriptive modeling outputs from ICMD® to the MAST center, leading development of better supply chains for large-scale castings and forgings.
“QuesTek’s decade of profitable growth in the ICME and government sectors reflects our strong business strategy and commitment to innovation,” said COO Bill Mahoney. “Our financial strength has enabled us to self-fund key advancements from expanding ICMD® capabilities to enhancing our IT infrastructure with CMMC-compliant cybersecurity (ISO 2700, and SOC 2) certifications. By the end of 2024, in its first full year of availability, ICMD® SaaS subscriptions were adopted by leading materials producers, OEMs, and top materials science universities worldwide. These milestones further validate QuesTek’s Materials by Design® and ICMD® technologies as proven enablers of novel materials design, development, and deployment.”
